Fukuoka, Japan - The Softbank Hawks said Thursday they have acquired the services of right-hander Dennis Houlton, who had a stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2005 and 2007.
Houlton will sign with the Pacific League team for an annual salary of ¥60 million.
The 28-year-old made 18 mound appearances with the Dodgers last season but failed to post any wins.
In 2005, he notched a 6-9 record with Los Angeles. Houlton has a career 6-11 record and 4.99 ERA in the majors.
